Newport Beach Real Estate
Newport Beach real estate is expensive. Since building has been
going on all century, there is a wide variety of home styles: beach
cottages, 2 & 3 bedroom homes, condos, apartments, estates and a
mobile home park.
The crown jewel of the Orange County coast, with over 15,000
berths in the harbor, Newport Beach has the largest concentration
of pleasure craft on the West Coast. Also, the beaches are
fantastic. Then there's the Wedge. The northern arm of the
breakwater into the harbor is at 90 degrees to the beach. This
creates very high surf. Perfect for body surfing. No board surfing
allowed. During storms it's best to keep away.
Newport Beach consists of seven distinct neighborhoods: East
Bluff/Harbor View, Newport Heights, West Newport/Lido, Lower
Newport Bay/Balboa Island, Balboa Peninsula, West Bay/Santa Ana
Heights and Corona del Mar.
